When my husband Jon needed care after his fifth stroke, I wanted him to be somewhere he felt connected. Jon used to teach in Belmond, and so many people in the community still know him. He was initially at another facility, but it was difficult for him to be without many visitors. I reached out to the Rehabilitation Center of Belmond, and they welcomed him with open arms. That alone made a huge difference for both of us.Since coming to Belmond, I’ve noticed some real improvement—he’s starting to help himself stand up again. The staff has shown great care when Jon had a reception at the art center recently. They made a special effort to shave him and dress him up nicely, which meant the world to me. The staff seem attentive to his needs and treat him with respect. Compared to his previous experience, I feel Rehabilitation Center of Belmond has done a much better job caring for him—and for that, I’m truly grateful.
